Dead Week

I've come to the conclusion that they refer to the week before finals as "dead week" because if you aren't dead already from the constant homework, research papers, 38420183 chapter tests, and 8 am labs, in approximately a week, you can start saying your goodbyes.
Yes.
Finals are next week.
Today's little blessing: I only have two awful finals to dread next week.
I'm completely burnt out on school and I've been overwhelmed with stress.
I decided to take a break this weekend in hopes of relieving some stress before burying myself in the books for two solid weeks.
Matt Dillon made the long boring drive home with me and upon my arrival to the Boro I was unexpectedly greeted by my favorite face in the world.
Surprise! John was home!!
It was easy to see we were home, alright. Whereas in our college towns the weekend would have started tonight, Scottsboro was dead. So we created our own fun including a 2 am trip to the fishing section at WalMart and spent some good time reflecting on some great memories with Hannah hahaha
I was able to catch up on some rest friday. Then like a super cool sister checked my brother out from school.
Walking in the junior high makes me feel so old. It seems like forever ago I was walking down those hallways begging for those days to end. What I would give to go back to prealgebra, writing notes, ugly gym clothes, monogrammed l.l. bean back packs, and relationships that lasted two weeks tops.
I partook in an excellent Mud Creek steak friday night with my family and boyyyyy was it delic! I swear I eat soo much more when I'm home. One reason I can't wait to be back for summer.
Friday Night also brought along a nice glass or three of wine, millions of pictures, a long lost Eric Storey, stitches in Ben's finger and a crushed toe for me, a big angry cat, hacked facebook statuses, and
Waffle House!
I love my beautiful friends!
Oh how I can't wait to be home and see what all summer has in store for us!
Saturday Caitlin and I spent time catching up in the sun and enjoyed route 44 slushes at happy hour.
Later that night we decided to hit up our favorite birthday dinner eating establishment BV to celebrate the births of AuBrey and Andrea.
TIM who happens to be our favorite German boy and my senior prom date decided to join!
We were so excited to see him!

After dinner I spent some more precious time with my precious John :)
Sunday was EASTER!
I traveled to Birmingham with my parents and brother to visit family.
As I was watching my sweet cousin Reagan hunt her eggs I was once again taken back to the simple times.
Her days consist of little league soccer and coloring books.
Such a sweet and simple way of life.
It was nice to relax and spend the day enjoying some great food with the family.
I came home to say bye to John and his family and prepared to come back to Tuscaloosa for my final two weeks of freshman year.
Maybe I can find time in all this hecticness to enjoy myself.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend...
May 6, May 6, May 6!!

BIRTHDAY BOO!

Miss Andrea Lynn DeWitt
Four. Twenty Five.
Special day for my best friend Andrea Lynn
If only I had a penny for every memory I had with you!
Scraping up change for happy hour, Dave Barnes, sharing clothes, band camps, our "bad boy" days, riding around the square, practicing our danceline routines in the back yard, crazy parties at Chad's, and all the many trips to school and long hot summer days we spend cruising around in Vinny!
I could go on all day about all the random things we've done but we'd probably be here all day.
We went through times where we were literally inseperable.
I can always depend on Andrea.
You're so down to earth and like me, you appreciate the little things in life.
I love that about you.
I know your parents are so proud of the beautiful, hard working, strong willed individual you have become.
I love you so much Andy Lynn!!
Happy Birthday, BOO!

Little Blessings

See this little lady here
This would be my biffle Brookie
You may recognize her as that girl with an amazing sense of fashion
or that girl with the really cute blog
This past weekend I was suppose to travel to Starkville for my very first visit to the land of the cowbell
However it was our ADay celebration here in Tuscaloosa and due to prior arrangements I was anable to make the trip
I was very happy to see some friends I haven't seen in a while as well as a few family members
But I couldn't help but regret my decision to stay here after seeing the pictures the girls posted of Starkville
Soooooo I planned to go see her tomorrow!!
and I bet you'll never guess what day I find out I have a chemistry test
TOMORROW
As if I didn't absolutely despise that class enough
I'm so upset. and I wish I was going. I've been so unbelievably stressed this week and tomorrow I'd drive ten hours to see Brooke if I could. I've been bogged down with so many decisions lately on top of all my school work and trying to plan a trip to the beach so I can finally relax after finals.
Tonight after completing my chemistry homework I decided to take a break and enjoy a nice, long, extremely hot shower.
I always think about things while I'm in the shower
And as I was washing my weave (baha!)
I started thinking about how blessed I am.
I'm blessed to be able to take showers, especially hot ones.
I was able to enjoy more than one nice hot meal today. One was a blessing in itself.
My tiny bed is a BIG blessing.
I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. I can not wait to see them this weekend!
I'm blessed to be able to go to college. Tests, homework, studying, big decisions; it's all just part of growing up.
And I'm incredibly grateful for all of these things and more.
I think I'll start doing posts about little blessings just to remind myself and others that even when all else seems to fail, we have so much to still be thankful for.
Today's little blessing: my rainboots, rainjacket, and umbrella
It's been a nasty day here in Tuscaloosa today and I'm
hoping my test tomorrow isn't as ugly as the weather.
Thank you to those of you who have sent random sweet text messages this week.
They've been sent at exactly the right moments and mean so much
and a huge thank you to John Combs for putting up with me.
You of all people have seen the worst of it this week. I know all I've done is gripe and complain and you have been so patient. I appreciate everything you do for me. You're the best!!
I promise once finals are over, I'll be a new woman!
If you're feeling stressed, remind yourself that things could always be worse.

"It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness."

Adolf Hitler's birthday
and I think I might be forgetting one.....
oh yeah!!!
Happy Birthday to my best friend AUBREY!!
She's the cutest little thing eva
Remember when we use to go riding around with P Love and Hunter in their fast cars
Or when Ben drove away from the gas pump when the nozzle was still in the tank
Or the random parties we went to after junior prom
Or when we spent the day swimming at "Dese Nuts" house
Or when you and Jake were spying in the kitchen and throwing stuff at me and that one person
Or our random third healthcare memories like reading magazines on third floor, TAR WARS, and those million hours we spent working on that amazing banner that did not win first place
Or when we went mud riding and came home looking like this
Gosh we have so many random and hilarious memories together
I love laughing about the silly things we use to get into
I love you Boobrey!
And I hope today is the best ever!
Happy Birthday BOO!

Fearless

"FEARLESS is not the absence of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. To me, FEARLESS is having fears. FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you’ve been hurt before. FEARLESS is walking into your freshmen year of high school at fifteen. FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again… even though every time you’ve tried before, you’ve lost. It’s FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change. FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can’t breathe without them. I think it’s FEARLESS to fall for your best friend, even though he’s in love with someone else. And when someone... apologizes to you enough times for things they’ll never stop doing, I think it’s FEARLESS to stop believing them. It’s FEARLESS to say “you’re NOT sorry”, and walk away. I think loving someone despite what people think is FEARLESS. I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is FEARLESS. Letting go is FEARLESS. Then, moving on and being alright…That’s FEARLESS too. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after. Because I think love is FEARLESS"
-Taylor Swift
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Taylor Swift urks me. Maybe it's because I'm jealous of her perfect hair and the fact that unlike me, she is brave enough to step out on stage in front of thousands of people and sing. Either way, she has a way with words. There are many who won't admit they count down the days until that new T Swift album hits itunes. I, however, am not one of them.

I've learned a lot this past year. One of them is that this quote is absolutely true.
And don't ever let anyone convince you what you are doing is wrong. Follow your heart. And live with no regrets. After all, we only live once. And every mistake is a lesson.

MOGazine: Rodeo Edition

Call me looney but I have decided that participating in the blog world is sorta like going through a magazine and tearing out your favorite pages. You like a page? Rip it out! You like a blog? Subscribe! and your online magazine is constantly updating! Why wait a whole entire month when you can read new pages every day!
So I have decided to do a few magazine posts with a twist.........a mog twist, of course!
I'm gonna feature my favorites in the latest music, movies, celeb gossip, BARGAINS, and whatever random stuff I find!
I shall call it...MOGazine! Get it?! I thought it was a little clever, myself.
So here goes nothing.
RODEO WEEK EDITION!
I don't know about you, but thursday night as soon as I complete my dreadful chemistry test, I will be pointing my little black volvo towards Auburn, Alabama and heading to the plains for a weekend of redneck celebration.
That's right..it's RODEO WEEKEND!
What do you need for rodeo you ask?
I'm sure these guys would be more than happy to help you out!

But since we really aren't sure which trailor park to locate them in...I'll see what I can do.
It's actually very simple.
1) Tshirt. No sleeves. Suggested tshirts might include NASCAR, beer, rebel flag, camo ect...
2)Overalls for the guys is my personal favorite. and of course you can't go wrong with JORTS!
rodeo, like Halloween, is one of those times when you have permission to wear your clothes a little tighter and shorter so hey! go for it! break out those Daisy Dukes ladies!
3) DON'T come to rodeo without your boots on.
4) Spice it up! belts, hats, bubba teeth, or heck! grow a mullet!

This year will be my first rodeo experience and while I'm excited about a LONG day of fun in the sun
I can't wait to see this guy perform this song.
I'm gonna go buck wild when it happens...........so just be prepared
Blake Shelton!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for rodeo for quite some time now...and while preparing myself I have really gotten into the spirit! So to wrap this up I will share with you some
real live rednecks

Let me introduce to you: The Turtle Man

and these might be some of his buds and their shenanigans

 YEEEEHAWW!!
